If foreigners lose their passports in Thailand, what to do?

Foreigners who lose their passports or travel documents, or stolen or damaged, what to do? And where to contact?

The supplemental documents

2. One recent passport-sized photograph (4 x 6 cm)
3. Copy of notification from the Police Station
4. Copy of previous passport with personal information and photo
5. Copy of new passport
6. Letter from the embassy to the Immigration Bureau to request cooperation from the Immigration Bureau to provide the arrival stamp on the new passport to that foreigners.

The procedures

1. Report the lost passport at the local police station by specifying the lost passport number in the notification form.
2. Prepare supporting documents for submitting a request to change the passport book.
3. Contact the staff at the counter service of the Change Passport Book department, Sub-Division 2, Immigration Division 1.
   - The officials check the details and accuracy of the request and new passport integrity or travel documents and must have a notification of grievances.
   - The officials check the evidence of traveling into the Kingdom.
4. When found the entry information into the Kingdom legally, the officials will proceed with the arrival stamp on the passport for foreigners.
5. In the case of foreigners request to stay in the Kingdom or have a residence in the Kingdom, they should meet the officials at the department related to the visa or Division 1, Immigration Division 1.

In the case of foreigners have been requesting to stay in the Kingdom, they can file the request at the Immigration Checkpoint that submitted the last.

Recommendation

• Before leaving the country, don't forget to copy passport documents with personal information and photos pages, and a copy of a valid national ID card keep it in your pocket as well (Kept separately with the original).
• You should record the address and telephone number of the embassy and the consulate of your country in Thailand.
