If I want to legalize documents from the Department of Consular Affairs, where can I apply and what channels?
Ministry of Foreign Affairs recognizes the importance of the public document such as an ID card (or passport), a copy of the House Registration (or Residence Certificate) has been prepared in two languages as a standard document and can use at all. However, it must be certified at the Legalization division before using it to support other documents for convenience and reducing procedures.

Requesting for legalization documents by Mail
Procedure of Document Authentication by Mail
- Fill out a legalization application form (If apply for another person, power of attorney is required)
- Copy of Passport
- Copy of Company Registration Certificate
- If apply with power of attorney, please provide a copy of the passport of both parties
- The documents you want to legalize both original document(s) and a copy
- Translation certified by the translator
- Processing fee in form of money order (400 baht/document) and return express mail postage fee (60 baht)

Thailand Post will send the legalized documents with speed and safety to the recipient, it will arrive at the destination at the specified time because they sent by the system (EMS). The officer will call the recipient before sending to arrange the delivery time.
In case of submit application through an agent
- (For Thai) must use an ID card and a power of attorney
- (For Foreigner) must use copy of passport, arrival visa stamp page, and power of attorney letter
