Consulting Service for work permit renewal

To renew a work permit in Thailand using the “B.T.25” application form for foreigners who are currently employed in Thailand and have previously been granted a work permit and a valid work visa (Non-B) or a Non-O visa (for spouses of Thai nationals or dependents of Thai nationals) and require renewing their work permit need to apply for renewal at least 30 days before the current work permit expires. This applies to:

• Renewal upon completion of the annual work permit period.
• Renewal in accordance with the visa expiration date.

The renewal can be requested for periods of 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, or up to a maximum of 2 years, depending on the criteria set by the Officers. Each renewal application will be subject to different considerations and the approving officer will set conditions for future renewals. The process must comply with the guidelines and requirements established by the Immigration Bureau.

• The officer receives the original documents and submits them at the local employment office where the office is located.

Service Fee for Renewal of a work permit in Thailand

• for 3 months: 5,500 THB
• for 6 months: 8,500 THB
• for 1 year: 12,500 THB
• for 2 years: 18,500 THB

Important Notes on Renewing a Work Permit in Thailand

• For the first-year renewal of a work permit, the authorities will review the company's income over the last 3 months. The income for these 3 months should meet minimum requirements, and the annual income should be good. If the company is operating at a loss, the renewal may be subject to the discretion of the Department of Employment officials.
• For certain professions and positions, which might be specialized, continuous renewal for multiple years may not be possible. There may be conditions requiring the submission of job transfer documents to confirm the renewal of the work permit.

Documents Required for Work Permit Renewal

Form 25: Complete the form in full.

• For the Foreigners (Employee):
  
  • Copy of the passport.
  • Medical Certificate as required by the Ministry of Labor’s regulations
  • Personal Income Tax Form (PND.91) for the most recent year
  • For Non-O Visa (Dependent on Thai Spouse): Include a copy of the marriage certificate and a copy of the spouse’s ID card.
  • For Non-O Visa (Dependent on Thai Child): Include a copy of the child's birth certificate, a copy of the child's house registration, a copy of the marriage certificate, and a copy of the spouse’s ID card.
• For Employers and Companies:
  • Company registration certificate (not exceeding 6 months old)
  • Shareholders list (form B.O.J.5) not exceeding 6 months old from the DBD
  • Certificate of legal entity registration (form P.K.0401)
  • Tax registration certificate (form P.P.20), and P.P.01
  • P.P.09 (in case of changes) and copies of other permits
  • Balance sheet and profit/loss statement for the latest fiscal year from the DBD, with certified document fee receipt
  • Copy of Corporate Income Tax Return (Form PND.50) (In the case of submitting copies, they must be signed and stamped by a company/partnership director on each copy.)
  • Power of attorney for company representation, with copy of ID card of authorized director
  • Personal income tax list (P.N.D.1) for Thai and foreign employees for the last 3 months, with certified receipt from the Revenue Department, and certified document fee receipt
  • Copy of Social Security Contribution Payment Report (Form SSF.1-10) for the past 3 months, along with the receipts.
  • Copy of the Value Added Tax Return (Form VAT30 or VAT36) for the most recent financial year (past 3 months), along with the receipts.
